Useless Wi-Fi, car was over 80F/30C, "first class" was laughable with cramped seats, a single (half) cup of the worst coffee in Italy (or the world) on a 3hr trip, and €20 more than a standard seat on Trenitalia.. It is not true that Italo Treno is cheaper than Trenitalia as a general matter, only on SOME trains on SOME days of the week, depending on schedules and when tickets are purchased. At OTHER times, Trenitalia may be cheaper. Italo Treno does NOT operate out of the central Roma Termini Station.

There are some first class (fresco-rossa - something like that) trains that are very nice from trenitalia. I took the trenitalia (fresco-rosso) train from Venice to Florence, splurged on first class, and enjoyed it.
